Cheryl-Anne Kast
With studies in both the creative and disciplined culinary arts, Cheryl-Anne found a path that fulfilled her aesthetic desires for beauty and artistry while shaping her work ethic and reinforcing her beliefs that hard work always pays off. Cheryl-Anne joined the award-winning Fearrington House team as a party chef in 2006, which later led to a position as part of their wedding and events team.

Her career also included the opportunity to work under one of the top chefs in South Africa and the UK. But a degree in Culinary Arts is focused on food—and food alone was never enough. Cheryl-Anne resides in Pittsboro NC, with her husband Alexander and their two children, Amelia and Ulrich. In her spare time she loves to hike, run and graden!
This love for creating memorable events, combined with years of experience, eventually led her to establish Kast & Co in 2015. As the Owner and Creative Director, Cheryl-Anne brings a fun, warm approach to every event, dedicated to designing one-of-a-kind weddings and celebrations that reflect each client’s unique story and create unforgettable memories.
Katie Costa

Katie is a Boston native who moved south to Florida to attend State College in Tampa and later continued her education in Charleston, studying Creative Marketing. While in Charleston, Katie had the opportunity to work in the events industry, which sparked her passion for planning. She eventually moved to Chapel Hill and continued to pursue that passion, joyfully joining the Kast Events & Co. team in 2020!
Katie resides in Raleigh with her husband DJ, son Holden and Pup Bridge.
Katie strives to ensure that each couple & their families enjoy the smoothest, most beautiful, wedding that truly reflects them — an experience they will cherish for a lifetime.
Caroline Placey
Lead Planner and Creative Assistant
Caroline spent just over a decade in the events industry before joining the Kast Events & Co. team in 2023. Her background includes wedding planning, venue management, rentals, and catering, giving her a well-rounded foundation for creating seamless and memorable experiences. Caroline resides in Greensboro, NC, with her husband, Sean, and their two children, Jackson and Theodora.
Her love for design continues to grow, and she is passionate about the small details that make an event feel truly special.
Cassandra Boulet
Planning Assistant
Cassandra, a native of Montréal, Canada, joined Kast Events & Co. in 2025 as a Day-of Assistant. She previously worked as a general manager in the fashion industry for 10 years with brands like Michael Kors, where she honed her organizational skills, leadership, and customer care. She is highly detail-oriented and loves taking care of our brides and vendors. Cassandra lives in Angier, NC with her husband and four children.
Taylor Chase
Planning Assistant
Taylor Chase is a Meredith College graduate currently pursuing a Master’s in Sustainable Tourism and Hospitality at East Carolina University. She joined our team in 2023 as a Day-of Wedding Planner Assistant. Taylor also teaches dance at Greenville Civic Ballet—a role that keep her connected to her community and creative passions. Wedding planning, however, is where her heart truly lies, and she loves being part of helping couples bring their dream day to life.
