It is such a pleasure to be sharing Sarah and Sam’s wedding today! Sarah and Sam met on a blind date in NY, and the rest is history. Sarah and Sam came to us with a clear vision of what they wanted their special day to look like. With an urban chic meets rustic elegance vibe and a clean color palette of ivory, navy, grey, dusty blue, and pops of rose gold, their wedding day with romantic and memorable. They could not have asked for a more perfect day for their April wedding at the beautiful Rock Quarry Farm. Sarah and Sam wanted to make sure that the day exemplified who they are as a couple. The ceremony was simple with emphasis on family. Sam’s uncle officiated their ceremony. There was an arbor adorned with beautiful white flowers with delicate hints of blue and blush by the wonderful Bowerbird Floral Design, local to Durham, NC. and a talis draped over the top in honor of Sam’s Jewish heritage Sarah and Sam exchanged personal vows which left few people without tears in their eyes. Their love was truly evident.
After the emotional ceremony, guests were invited to join in a cocktail hour where bluegrass music by Big Fat Gap filled space outside of the barn, as guests sipped on a cocktail followed by dinner and dancing in the barn. Sarah and Sam celebrated with a family style meal created by Snap Pea Catering, and three hand painted cakes by the incredible Cupcake Shoppe Raleigh. One cake had lyrics to their first dance song and was topped with two small custom figures of their sweet dogs who also make a cameo on their Table Assignment cards! The barn rafters were draped with market lighting and geometric chandeliers that had greenery woven throughout which created a modern edge while still feeling natural in the space. The hora which is a traditional Jewish celebratory dance got the dance party started after the bride’s brother wrote a rap as his toast to the couple. Guests relaxed with Two Roosters Ice Cream until the evening ended with a streamer exit. Sarah and Sam’s wedding was truly magical in every way. Congratulations to you both. We wish you all the happiness in the world! Xoxo
