Harper Rae and Tyson were married in beautiful Chapel Hill, North Carolina this past summer! Both of them being UNC Alumni. Chapel Hill NC was not a surprise location for them to bring their friends and family together to celebrate their union!
The ceremony took place at the University Presbyterian Church in Chapel Hill and their reception followed at the Beautiful Fearrington Village where the couple attended many a sorority party together in the past! A meaningful location they wanted to share with their loved ones.
We had so much fun planning with Harper Rae and Tyson! Their day was truly focused on their love for each other and their families, the comfort of their guests and well some Carolina Blue! Harper Rae and Tyson opted to go pretty traditional for the wedding and not do a first look. The smile on Tyson’s face as Harper Rae walked through the doors of the church gave us all goosebumps and is one of the main reasons we love when couples decide against doing a first look!
The celebration continued at Fearrington Village. The festivities kicked off at the Garden Terrace with delicious passed appetizers, cocktails with the Shake Russel Band from Texas playing. Harper Rae and Tyson wanted to add some touches of Carolina Blue ot their day to honor their beloved UNC, the garden party at the Terrace served as the perfect backdrop to add a touch of blue!
The party continued in the Barn a short walk from the Terrace. Guests were greeted with a beautiful outdoor dining and a tunnel of lights and florals to replicate the arboretum on Campus where Tyson popped the question,With a group of over 300, we had to make good use of the space we had. The barn patio was converted into an outdoor dining room with a private bar area . Inside the Barn there was mix of long rectangular tables filled with lush greenery, florals, and candles from end to end and large round tables with beautifully created centerpieces filled the space. Party table linens and drapery helped add that extra elegant touch with some ceiling draping and lighting around the room. Food stations were placed in an air-conditioned tent behind the barn to allow for enough room for the dance party!Of course, no reception is complete without entertainment! The Liquid Pleasures Band outdid themselves and kept dance floor packed all night long. During a band break the Shake Russel Band returned to play Harper Rae a song her father asked them to write for her, it was such a special moment and there was not a dry eye in the room! Late snacks included fried chicken biscuits – a Texan favorite of the bride! The dance party continued and was elevated with some fun props! Who does not love a blow up guitar?
Harper Rae and Tyson’s evening ended to a private last dance together in the barn and tunnel of sparklers! What an absolute joy it was to work with this sweet couple and their families!
Harper Rae and Tyson’s wedding was featured on Carats and Cake!
