Grey & Stephen | Spring at Home Wedding!

What an incredibly special wedding in every possible way! Grey and Stephen were wed at Grey’s family home where she grew up and where her parents were married 31 years ago! Their goal was to have guest feel welcome and to have a wonderful time! They definitely succeeded!

Grey and Stephen met in Frederick, Maryland where they both lived and worked at the time. Grey remembers saying to herself when they met ” maybe I’ll marry him!”. The couple spent some time apart when Grey attended grad school in North Carolin and Stephen joined the army, but they always found a way back to each other! Stephen proposed in their home in Maryland during Christmas time, Grey’s favorite time of the year!

Grey and Stephen wanted an outdoor, casual wedding but at the same time wanted to be timeless and elegant. A lovely color palette of lavender, blush and whites certainly made for a beautiful spring wedding! Grey’s elegant blush skirt and lace top was both beautiful and perfect for an outdoor tented wedding!

The ceremony took on the front lawn of the estate with a tree lined backdrop and was followed by an outdoor cocktail hour with delicious southern style passed appetizers & signature cocktails by Scarborough Fare. Dinner was served station style in a breathtakingly beautiful sail cloth tent featuring market lights, crystal chandeliers and crepe myrtle trees.

Dinner was followed by some very heartfelt and fun toasts and the couple’s favorite desserts, presented on a fun hanging farm table from the Greenhouse Picker Sisters. The Band Souljam kept the dance floor packed and an amazing time was had by all! A truly special day for a very special couple! We love you Grey and Stephen!
