When I think of Julia and Carl’s wedding I can’t help but smile and shed a little tear of joy all at the same time. They went through so so much to get to that perfect day. Two years before their wedding day Julia and Carl did not think that they would see their wedding day as Carl was diagnosed with a rare form of Blood Cancer. A lot of love, prayers and a stem cell transplant put Carl on the path to health and to the wedding of their dreams! Their ceremony was one of the most sentimental and beautiful ceremonies I have ever seen- filled with so much love and meaning!

For their wedding day Julia and Carl envisioned one that was elegant, fun and memorable. Julia and Carl said their I do’s at the Church of Holy Family in Chapel Hill where they are members. They selected the beautiful Fearrington Village for the reception as Julia spent many hours strolling the gardens with her late mother. Julia’s vision was to transform the barn into an evening garden with lots of greenery and white lights. A nod to all those memorable walks in the gardens with her mom. We added greenery and lit up grapevine balls to the breeze way entering the barn and softened the entrance with white draping. Inside chandeliers covered with greenery were hung to create an aerial garden. Beautiful garden arrangements in bright colors of coral and fuchsia were added to the tables. A little sleeping fox made small appearances on signage and in the form of favors in recognition of the couple’s last name Fox!

Guests enjoyed a delicious stationed style meal prepared by the chefs at Fearrington. Guests danced the night away with the Liquid Pleasures band. A perfect day for the sweetest couples. One filed with love and life!
