Wild Flora Farm| The Barn of Chapel Hil

I don’t event know where to start with this wedding! I knew the very first time I met with Meghan and her mom that we were going to have so much fun planning this wedding and that it would be an incredibly special day! Meghan was born in the United Kingdom, so incorporating details from her native England was very important to her family. Meghan fell in love with a blue china pattern, so we ran with that and carried it through the entire design form the invitations, linens, cake and yes the china! Little touches of Britain could be seen throughout our the day from the Brit Cocktail. mini Yorkshire puddings, a tea station and sausage rolls as the late night snack. I worked as a Chef in the UK for two years, so this day was just so so fun to design and work on!

Meghan and Dru were married on a beautiful rainy day at The Barn of Chapel Hill Wild Flora Farm just outside of Chapel Hill surrounded by their family and friends, it was perfect! No rain could get in the way of all the beauty and love! This wedding truly holds such a special place in mu heart for so many reasons and I’ll always look back at their day as on of the weddings that had such magic to it. Every little details was pure perfection! The rain was not planned but there was something about the weather that added to the magic.

The ceremony took place on the front patio under a tent with a flower lined aisles and a beautiful floral arch created by the talented Jenn of Wild Floral Farms. Guest were all handed a little bag of dried Jasmine to toss at the newly weds as they made their way back up the aisles! The couple took a little spin in Meghan’s father’s vintage Morris before joining the cocktail hour!

The ceremony was followed by a fun cocktail hour under a clear top tent on the lawn and the veranda. Guests sipped on delicious signature cocktails the Brit ( A Pimm’s Cup) and the American ( an old fashioned) a nod to the couple’s home countries! Cocktail tables were covered with blue toile linens and a traditional British mailbox served as the card box. Guest were invited to their seats with an oversized toile cover pin board with table cards designed by Indigo Envelop, such a beautiful piece!

The cheery cocktail hour was followed by a delicious plated meal inside the beautiful Barn! The flowers were absolutely amazing and literally took my breathe away! Wild Flora did such an incredible job of bringing Meghan’s dreams of an English garden to life! A large green “B” for Bailey brightened up the back wall of the barn. The tables were beautifully dressed with light grey/blue linens and the elegant place setting consisted of Blue and white patterned china, white hemstitch linen napkins and vintage patterned flatware and stemware.

Dinner was followed by truly heartfelt toasts and the cutting of the cake! The dance floor was opened by the couple with a truly special first dance. DJ Joe Bunn kept the dance floor packed all evening long! The evening ended with the newly weds running through a tunnel of glow sticks! Congratulations Meghan and Dru! It truly was a pleasure and such a magical day! We wish you all the happiness in the world!

Thank you the incredible vendor team who made magic happen for Meghan and Dru!
